The solenoid is also attached and working. This is a oem Marine starter from a Mercruiser it is made by Delco Remy and is stamped 9m and has a sticker that is printed Marine. There isn't anything wrong with this starter that I know of and it was working when I removed it.
The case does have some surface rust.
